 Workers' Compensation
« Result #1 on Oct 19, 2009, 7:14am »

We have just opened a law office in Delaware County Pennsylvania. Recognizing that being a CNA puts an employee at risk of injury and recognizing that at least here in Pennsylvania, employers will do what they have to to avoid paying workers' compensation, I was wondering whether there is a national association or even local CNA associations to contact to help disseminate information to CNAs in Delaware County. If possible we would like the opportunity to talk to CNAs on this very important topic.
Thank you for your kind assistance

I have recently moved to Suffolk VA from WI, I am a certified NA in WI and have been for 15 plus years, Virginia has told me i would have to retake the course and test to get certified here, they said WI does not require testing and therefor i cannot have it forwarded here, I believe all heath care and home care positions here do reguire the certificate. Is anyone on this board familiar with VA and the requirements to work in assisted living or hospitals etc. and if i do does anyone know of free training while your working where they offer the course and possibly pay for it??? any info appreciated ..... thank you M

Hi I am moving to Suffolk Virginia, i am certified in WI and have been in this field for a long time. I have been told by VA that i need to recertify to work in VA. Does anyone know if there are places you can work without the certification in Virginia. what are areas that you do not have to be certified if any? thank you much M

Contact the New York state board of nursing, They will be able to tell you if this is an accredited LPN program.
