I am currently enrolled in a CNA class. Iam expected to graduate February 28, 2005. I have worked as a PCA in several assisted living communities and have loved my job. I am scared to death to do post mortum care. We have not made it that far in class yet so Im not sure what to expect. Someone please respond......I dont know if I can do this....I am really afraid of what happens . Thanks

I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant since may of 96. I must say that this to me is one of the hardest parts of the job. Hospice offers a free brochure Caring for Someone Who Is Dying. It offers offers insight into the dying process. You can find it here 66.132.137.69/caregivers/reading.asp I also found Nursing Instructions: Preparing the Body for a Viewing you can find at deathmaiden.blogspot.com/2004_08_01_deathmaiden_archive.htmlThis will give you an idea of what you will be doing.
