Sticky question. I am a CNA and have my clients. One client has other CNAs besides myself. while I'm at the clients house another CNA shows up to do things to give relief from the clients husband doing them. what she does is cleans/ dresses an open wound that is very large and deep and it won't heal over, etc. normally the husband does all this or a wound nurse does. this CNA got her nurse license but not employed as a nurse nor a wound care nurse . so she cleans this wound and I've seen her not using gloves. I never said anything to the agency, I had just asked the agency to be reassigned to another client. If infection had set in or something, there would have been trouble. I didn't want to see this going on, nor was if fair to put me in such a position. However, the client and her husband were both thankful for the other CNA. What would you do?
